Not that being in the same city and on the same coast explains your lack of a shipping notice.
Good to know. I would expect folks in the PNW to receive their pedals first. It's the lack of shipping notice that prompted my reply. But we're still two weeks ahead of the four-month estimated build time so it's not (yet) concerning.

For sure, my pic doesn't do it justice. I'm usually not a fan of white/black/red, but this pedal is really sharp. It's got an industrial vibe to it that I really like.
I'll add that the precut velcro is a lovely touch. I don't remember my previous IE pedals coming with that. Or any pedal, for that matter.
Congrats to everybody who is going to get to experience a Subterranea for the first time! And of course to anybody else who got one that may already have been acquainted
A Sub is what basically started my whole pedalboard revolution a few years back (many thanks, Chief Enabler @Erithon!), and it's still probably my favourite single pedal. It's such a powerful synthesizer, cleverly disguised as an octave pedal. It does the simple OC-2 like thing no problem, but there's a lotta special sauce in there besides that. No need for gated fuzz, or synth-like fuzz; those Uni and Octo voices are just actual synth fuzz... Also, took me a while to realize that the Timbre knob (Filter, on the older ones) really gives the octave tones some super tasty flavour changes; I kept it turned down most of the time at first. Since the primary genre I gig/tour is reggae, that rub-a-dub bass tone is the most important, and Filter-down managed that best. Now I know better for I'm when chasing more complex synth tones!
Those bigger knobs are there because they are a LOT easier to move with my feet; the other knobs tend not to get adjusted mid-song, but those two needed comically large proportions to be useful...

Sadly, mine has introduced a TON of noise to my chain, despite it being on its own lead from a Cioks 7. Itās second in the chain after an Empress Bass Para EQ. Iām going to try it at the front. I rolled the tone off of my 2 band fretless Stingray, played up by the neckā¦ noise city. I rolled off the LPF on Messenger Jr at the end of the chain and that helped some, but itās really present.

I was able to do some testing and I think the main culprit was dirty power on a particular outlet in my apartment. I switched over to where my recording set up is plugged in and switched the SubT to the very first position in my chain, before the tuner, and while there was still some noise it was greatly reduced. I suspect some of it is just the synth voices bleeding through, but there were still some odd crackles and oscillating ghost noise (but much, much less). It did NOT like my Fairfield Circuitry Shallow Water, engaging it made the noise quite a bit worse. Rolling off the LPF on my Messenger Jr to 1k just about eliminated it. Anyhow, I don't think there is anything wrong with the pedal, so good news. Sadly, it's still not for me - I'm looking for a really smooth octave down. For those that are looking for what the SubT does, it's a home run for sure.
Just showed up! Recovering from surgery, so I wonāt be able to plug it in for awhile, but what a carrot to have dangling from a stick.
