I mean we are partly to blame for the raised prices. We build these pedals up to be unobtainable one of a kind devices. I am not surprised at the price gouge. I mean they sell.
It’s only price gouging to those who don’t pay the asking price. Don’t agree necessarily but talkbass is notorious for this kind of stuff. And it finds it’s way to reverb.

It is price gouging for those who pay it also I think but that's the price for not waiting for Taylor to make more. I'd much rather pay less obviously but that how it goes. A few years back you could buy pretty much any pedal second hand for ~25$ less than retail. It's still the case for most pedals. Mostly only hard to get or discontinnued pedals fetch crazy prices. It's how things have evolved. To the delight of some and dismay of others.

I wonder when we will see the first IE clones! ;)

Since I couldn't get the Xerograph for a long time, I started to dig into filters and pedals.
I thought I might be able to build a filter within a year. As a total beginner with the help of a electronics technician.
..I was so wrong and ignorant! :D

@Taylor
Your work gave me the last motivational boost I needed to get started with this stuff.
Thank you!
Now I've learned that it will take a long time to build my own pedals from scratch.
It's a long long road. And working with DSP is far far away.
But still, I built my first preamp pedal according to instructions and here I am tinkering with a common emitter circuit. -The first thing anyone builds when they are interested in pedals! :D

I've learned a lot in the last few months and found a new hobby.
You see, your work doesn't just have an impact on people's music.
