Iron Ether Subterranea

Okay, I had a quick run through with mine.
It does track super well. I am holding onto my OC-2 but this tracks a bit quicker.
I had some fun with my drum machine plus the SubT>TAFM>PitchFactor>MF-101 (controlled by MP-201)>Reverb. Definitely used it with lots of combos here and by itself.

I am dealing with a good amount of noise right now, not the end of the world amount but pretty noticeable. I am also not ready to blame the SubT for all of it either. My pedalboard is a mess and I may be using a bad cable, etc.
Also I think a pot or two is bent on my pedal, might not be an issue. If it is, I am sure I will be taken care of.

I like the SubT stacked with a lot of other pedals, being the oscillator for synthiness. I am sure that I will get more sounds out of it.

Got mine in...

After a few minutes the aforementioned noise is really bothering me. Sorry to be a downer. I think in the end this is absolutely not an OC-2 killer, because you get some substantial buzzing artifacts even when using just the clean and octave down voices. And I mean every time you play a note, not just in the background. It feels to me like adding a regular Octaver function is just kind of a bonus - it really shines with the synth voices where those noises don't matter at all. I assume the point is that its a synthesizer like its name describes and not really a straight Octaver (might be a huge duh to everyone else, but I was hoping to replace my OC-2).

edit: and sold to Mr. Dubblewe. Had to fund my future H9 and I feel I can come close to the SubT sounds with my OC-2 and Mastotron.

Ok, I had a minute to put together a couple of demos. I spent all day working in the studio and then came home and threw together some quick and dirty jams. Please excuse the lack of editing and general wankery. I was really trying to push the tracking to it's limits. This thing tracks amazingly as you will hear. For the record, my pedal is not noisy at all. I have experienced what others were talking about as far as the octave voice goes, but I actually like the way it sounds.

I recorded these through and Optifet comp to limit and the DI of my DB750. I didn't add any extra processing whatsoever. Here goes, nice and dirty.

Thanks, guys!!! I hear you about the style. After playing root>5 for about 12 hours in the studio yesterday, I really just wanted to let loose and improvise. I can play a lot of different styles, though. Let me know what you like and I'll see what I can do!!!

Keep in mind, these demos are playing it safe with this combo. It can get really crazy really quick, if you start tweaking. I wanted to make some "real life" sounds,

Some really great sounds in those clips. I love it.

The one thing I'd really like to hear from you is some of the octave voice soloed with various filter settings. Basically to hear it's "OC-2 imitation" and to hear you playing off of it since the OC-2 is a very unique feel that you're very familiar with.

Diz-amn!! Marc, you are one bad mother...

I'm not hearing anything that would keep me from getting this, but, based on the last sample, I think you just sold me on a Frantabit!
