IPCC report is a political statement not based in actual science, overblown for political purposes.

Deniers claim we can do whatever we want with no effect on the world around us.

Each one is just as rediculous as the other. More about validating preconcieved, largely emotional ideas, rather than anything that actually matters.

Actually, most "deniers" don't think they can do whatever they want, they just don't believe the hype. Is there no grey in people's world anymore?

I think climate change may or may not be happening, but even if it is, it's not happening as fast or will be as bad as what the fanatics are claiming. That being said, even though I don't think the world will turn into a fiery ball of fire any time soon, I have had an extremely low carbon footprint for my entire life.

There are a LOT of people that care about the environment but at the same time don't believe in global warming, or who think it won't be as bad as claimed. Denying global warming doesn't mean you don't care about the planet. If anything, I truly wish that idiotic assumption would cease.

and this is the false dichotomy often presented. just because someone doesn't believe the climate change alarmists doesn't mean they want to scorch the earth and rape her for her resources nor does it mean they are against green energy.

However, there are people who believe it's the "right" to use whatever resources they want and that Uncle Sam has no place in either limiting them or taxing them as means to help ween ourselves off of fossil fuels and to develop new technologies. It's not a false dichotomy when those kinds of people do exist (even in this very thread).

I honestly have no idea what the topography of the majority of arable land is. I do know that different regions support different flora. Start crossing regions off your list and you start losing the ability to grow certain crops.
