Is a GeddyLee Jazz suitable for slapping?

I just had mine at rehearsal for ther first time and it really cut through nice. The boys thought it was cool looking. I usually bring a Sad V5, and it's no Sadowsky, but for the price its a kickin bass.

Yes the tuners are cheesy but mine stays in tune. I'm changing the pickups though. The neck is great and I can adjust mine real low. It really lacks that low (open E) full tone/thump I like. I know this has been discussed in other threads but any votes for Ultra Jazz vs. Sad humcancelling?
