Are you sure? A screen name with tolerance in it I would think you would prefer the latter.Handmade vs CNC. Given a choice, I would prefer natural workmanship.
Heaven forbid the dreaded cymbal dent too.wait till you smack a sm58 into the front of your headstock and get permanent waffle marks..you will die.
I think it won’t matter much to Les he seams like a laid back guy. it’s not something that would bother him. He could Make that wormhole make sounds. LolHey, I know exactly what you mean. I just spent $1,500 on a new G&L LB100 and when I got home I noticed this weird wormhole or whatever on the back of the headstock.
Sure, when I'm on stage no one in the crowd will notice, but what happens if Les Claypool is in the front row and comes up on stage and asks to jam with the band and needs to use my bass? How will I ever be able to face him again if he notices this?
So what do I do? Should I go back to the store and demand my money back? Should I get an exchange? Should I get it repaired? I mean, the bass sounds okay for a cheap bass and I guess I can always use it at home or give it to my ten-year-old niece...she wants to learn to play bass and I guess she can always put a unicorn sticker or a happy face sticker or whatever on it if it bothers her, right?
