I didn't think I'd say this but I think I prefer them without the matching headstocks.
Are there none for sale in the US yet? There seem to be a few UK and European stores showing them on the web, with prices around £750-£800.

a few more pics of he CAR...
and it is CIJ.

Nice to know it's CIJ/MIJ. Not that I'm a snob for which country they're made in, but I've found I prefer CIJ/MIJ to MIM personally.
Agree. BUT...not sure if you've had the pleasure to try the MIM Classic Series or Roadworn instruments. IMO they are very comparable to their MIA/CIJ counterparts. Especially for the price.
I found a listing on amazon for the Fender Deluxe Jaguar bass, though I'm not sure if it's the new 2011 line, or part of the old discontinued line. It says there's 1 left in stock, and would be distributed through Sam Ash. Price is $850.
Listing in question:
Amazon.com: Fender Deluxe Jaguar Bass Guitar: Musical Instruments
EDIT: See my post (#88) further down for the listing on the actual Sam Ash site.
The description is from the old Jag as they list Oly White, Black, & HHR for optional colors.
RATS! This post is only about Jaguars. I really hoped you were asking about Mothman!
cobalt blue would look so much better with a black pg. then again so would every fender bass.
Maybe this will finally drive down the insane price that these things have been going for in the used market. I love the Jag's as much as anyone, but I will never pay the $600-900 that the used ones have been going for.
Squier has been pumping them out just since last year.
