Apologies if this has been mentioned already but it just caught my eye on the UK Fender site. There along with the usual Precision, Jazz and Mustang headers... the Jaguar is back!

This is the bass I've wanted since I first picked up a 4-string a couple of years ago, and was gutted when they were discontinued. It'll be a couple of years before I've saved up enough to upgrade from my beginner bass and I know I'll not be happy until I've owned one of these, even if I don't get on with it in the end.

Shame there's no pictures other than the sunburst. I'd always wanted the Olympic White/Tortoiseshell combo (why didn't they bring that back?) but the mention of Cobalt Blue is intriguing me...

You knew it couldn't be too far off with everyone going nuts over the squiers. +1 on the white but I bet blue will be nice especially if it has the tort guard.

It's unclear what guards they'll have - the text says mint-black-mint, the picture shows tort on the sunburst, and the specs... don't say anything.

I think I'd prefer white on the blue, but when you get yours and put a tort guard on it, I'll look at the pictures and see if I change my mind.

;)

I never knew Fender discontinued it. Of course, I don't really keep up with Fender much as I've never really been able to afford one. lol

I REALLY wish Fender would bring back the baritone guitar. I can't remember what it was called exactly, but The Beatles used it as the bass for most of the songs on the white album.
