The people I talked to about my neck issue (at Modulus and various retailers) told me that out of hundreds of Modulus necks they have seen, the number of bad ones was super negligible. Like 5-6 per thousand negligible.
This sounds accurate to me. FWIW- I have spoken to many "in the know" and this company is done. I will keep my 2004 Q5 (neck still is solid), but the lack of CS really sucks.
As many have said since this thread began, their silence is deafening....
Conversely, I just got a EB MM Bongo 4 last week that didn't come with a allen wrench for the bridge saddles. I emailed CS, they said it is not standard to supply one, but 2 days later I received one in the mail for free. The same, if not better, goes for Roscoe Guitars. You have a question or issue, call the number and a person answers the phone and gets you what you need. Call the number and Keith Roscoe very well may answer the phone himself.
There, 2 examples of a large company that makes guitars and basses and a small, boutique one - both have superb CS. It can be done....
