Is Modulus still in Business?

I agree, he is a good guy, totally knowledgeable and professional, as are all the dudes at Roscoe (even the Saints fan). ;)

As an owner of basses from both companies, I agree that if they are done, it is our loss.

You're upset because of 11.30.09 still, aren't ya?

:hyper:

I have that on DVD, if you wanna watch it sometime.

;)

:smug:

:D

...and yeah, a real loss, if they are indeed gone. Always really liked their stuff back when I sold it at BC. Good people too.

There you go. I've found that Delano J pickups match really well with the VJ.

I'm going with Nordstrands. I've had luck with them in my other basses. I'm actually doing something crazy...I had put a NJ4SE in the bridge position of my Lakland Bob Glaub PJ...I liked the Neopunch P but the single coil J just wasn't doing it. Well, I'm taking the NJ4SE bridge and putting it pup and putting it with a NJ4SV neck pup in the Modulus, and grabbed a split coil Neopunch J for the Lakland. Seems like a better match...I'm not sure how the NJ4SV and NJ4SE will do together...should be interesting! :hyper:

So I haven't been on here in a while and when I do get on I really only read Modulus news and related.

I saw the title of this thread and it felt like the floor fell out from under me. I read the first page and the last two pages and it feels like my bass world has come to an end. For me, if true, this is a huge deal. I truly hope they are still in business and merely just backlogged or something.

Such a bummer.

Yea this official statement or whatever from modulus cant come any longer. I wonder what would become of modulus basses in terms of rarity and collectability if they go under? I have two myself that I am eager to hold onto, rare or not

Sold all three of mine in the last 6 months after their customer service ignored me for the last time. Very happy I moved on from that joke of a company. How they treat their customers finally outweighed their instruments for me

(sigh)

Ah ha!

:hyper:

Something I can positively contribute to...

;)

One former Modulus employee is now at our shop, he has been here in Greensboro for 3 years now (as of June). When he left Modulus, it was to move "back east" to be closer to friends and family, not for any other reason.

We're very happy to have him here, as he has been a huge positive contributor to our operations; we are totally bummed at what seems to be going down for Modulus, bunch of great guys making great basses. If they are truly "gone", it is indeed a sad day for bass players.

:(

+1
