CBS?Wasn't them, it was some company with three initials as a name.

So... that's it for them? I want an official word. Not "oh yeah, my uncle's friend who works for Modulus says they're done dude". Looks like business as usual from their site and facebook.

When someone dies, they don't post their own obituary.

Dude... their Facebook hasn't bee updated since January.
I'm now officially sad that Modulus is gone.
I played my first Modulus today, a fretless Q5 that's for sale at the local Guitar Center. Man, that thing sounds totally killer.
Anyone know which pickups and preamp would have been in this thing? They were some sort of EMG soapbar with a 2 band preamp.
Modulus website says: "EMG active Soapbar pickups with EMG BTS 2 Band EQ"
...and did it happen to be 19mm spacing? The one on Mopac or Anderson Ln.?
I don't think it was 19mm spacing, but I could be wrong. You can find it on the Mopac location.
The bass had some sort of EMG pickup in the size 40 casing, but they make quite a few different pickups in that casing that look the same.

I looked this Modulus up on GC's used website. It's an older model non truss rod. It's more than likely 17mm spacing. The pickups are EMG DC soapbars probrably with an EMG 2 band preamp. Check the serial # on the back of the headstock the last 2 #'s should indicate the year that it was made. It's a nice bass. It looks like it was defretted and made into a lined fretless. IMHO.
I thought it was the first two numbers that indicated the year it was produced.
