Is the Hofner Ignition worth it?

You can get a used one for about 300 generally. If you do buy new, make sure they give you a hard case with it. Some sell it with, some without. A friend of mine has been using one as his main player for years. It weights almost nothing and sounds great. Deep and clean.

Not sure where you're located, but at Norman's Rare Guitars in Tarzana, CA, they have a great price (lower than the one just mentioned), with hard case. They threw in a strap on mine, too, although it was the trap that goes with the 500/1 so it didn't work on mine. Great folks to deal with.

I am not affiliated with them, I just bought my Ignition from them last year. Check them out online, then call them.

I paid about fifty bucks to ship to Northern CA, and even with a new set of LaBella flats, I still came in under $400.

Get the Ignition. It's a blast to play.
