Deluxe Jazz Bass

I like many different brands of basses. I've owned Mosrite, Gibson and Ibanez basses in the past. When finances allow, I'll add both Fender and non-Fender basses to the family. :)

2 "Fender-Like", a Mike Lull Modern 4 and 5. In addition to the desire to add a fretless Modern 5 in the near-future, there are also 3 additional lower-cost Fenders I'd like to pick up as well: a Fender '70s Jazz Bass in Black with a Red pickguard as well as an American Deluxe Jazz 4-string Alder/Maple fretboard in Candy Tangerine (a orange/red/gold "flip/flop" finish offered from '00 - '04) as well as an American Deluxe Precision 4 or 5 Ash/Maple fretboard in Cherry Sunburst, to cover the lack of Precision Basses in my stable.

None, can't stand those headstocks, though the tele is pretty cool and I'vr been drooling over a 70's japan copy for some time now...

*no no no, no more basses for a while!!*

Damn, all that GAS!

I am actually not to hip on Fender Bass headstocks either (i.e. my Squier too), though the thinner style one on my cowpoke I do like. But when I'm playing the Squier, the shape of the headstock is the last thing on my mind. :bassist:

i have a squier p, and a mm+p bass i made, wich i traced the p bass, and modified the shape for, and i am saving up for this sweet fender jazz. basslines (i think quarter pounders) pups, 24 frets, honey sunburst finish with no pickguard or regular jazz control plate, active preamp with active/passive switch. the only things it is mising are a maple fretboard, and a geddy lee style neck contour.
