Is there a "look" for a bassist?

This might be a pretty odd question, but I do worry that I look wrong with a bass... I'm short (5'5/6) and I'm fairly thin. I also have tiny hands. My playing doesn't suffer (I think) but I'm worried I sort of look... 'wrong'. Any ideas on the subject?

Off to the side, pushed back a little further, almost behind the drums, preferably a hat with a brim that is large enough so you can pretend that you're looking at the crowd while still managing to avoid eye contact. Can usually be found fiddling with knobs and sliders in between songs.

Wear boots with heels, like logging boots.

Wear horizontal stripes. They make you look fatter.

Everyone knows bass players need to look like the guy on the Brawny commercials. Or Grizzly Adams (am I dating myself with that one?).





But, seriously.....there's no "look". Not that I'm aware of. Just go with what you got and be.....AWESOME.

I am 5'4" with small hands. For reference, here is a picture of me with my 30" scale p bass. I feel I look fairly normal with this bass.

Now here is me with my main bass, a Bongo 5. I feel it looks comically large on me. I do however willingly go on stage in a cape, so the monstrously large bass is the least of my concerns.

Here is a great trick I have found. Make sure your other band members are also short, or sitting down. Tallest people in my metal band are the keyboardist and the drummer. So on stage I look relatively normal. Sadly in my jazz band our singer/guitarist is 6'7". We look comical next to each other.
