... being held on 'stand-by' for a TV gig because I was the 'wrong skin colour'. That was for an R&B gig which I eventually did.....a 100% mime.....
Ha. Funny. I quit a Chook's band No Justice because they wanted me to mime a keyboard sequenced fretless line with a fretted bass on Hey Hey and Vizard.
.. oh and If there's a look for a bassist - I didn't get the memo.

What's a Chook (I mean. Apart from chicken)? Should I be worried I've roused some weird sentiments?
But yeah man. Miming is rife on that program. I mean Harry Connick's band mimed. The only instruments not on the track was tenor sax solo and vox....Pretty disappointing.
It's interesting actually.....I was on tour in Canada last year and NO TV shows were mimed. I'm sure lots are, but none that we did.
