I came here for advice. I'm a guitar player, but I think I found a sweet deal... the issue is I've never seen a fender with a decal that looks like this, so I haven't bought it yet.

Thanks Jm, I'm gonna wait to see what else people have to say. It seems a bit questionable. I found it on wallapop. I bought a guitar off there before with no issues, but this just looks strange. I'm not a bass player, so there's a lot I don't know though.

Thanks guys, I appreciate it. Like I said, I'm not a bass player, but you all seem so helpful, I might stick around haha. You guys are seriously great thanks 40hz and digital as well. The help comes in here faster than I can reply to thank you all haha.

If you're on a budget, consider a Squier. Either a Classic Vibe or Signature model if you want their top of the line. They pack all that Fender goodness for a fraction of the cost. Which they should considering they're owned by Fender. New they go for less than $400. Used you can find them for a bit over half that in excellent condition. They may not get you any bragging rights (if you're into that sort of thing) but they play and sound as good as their American and Mexican cousins more often than not.

Oh yes, and welcome to TalkBass! We cater to all types of musician here. Even bass players if you can believe it! (Bass players? What's this poor world coming to?) ;)

Only a headstock pic buyt absolutely nothing looks right on that thing. Most notably the headstock decal.

Agree with the above poster, if your on a budget find a VM Squier. A little more cash, $300 range, should net you a Mexi Fender. The ones from the last ten years or so have been great.

Not relevant. sorry. Anyone confusing that with an authentic decal deserves to be hosed.

Disagree. Nobody deserves to be hosed that way. There's no justification for that kind of dishonesty. Ever.

Sliding a fake decal on for your own amusement is one thing. Doing it in hopes of scamming someone else is a jive move.
