LOL. And maybe add a Bugs Bunny decal as well. All the Custom Shop models have those.

The person that applied that decal couldn't have possibly expected anybody to believe its a real fender. I mean look at the size of that thing!Wow another fake Fender with a fake decal.
So there's no harm in a "replica" decal?
That thing is majestic.I think that the biggest Fender hs decal I've ever seen. Stunning.
I've got a strat copy someone did in, I'm assuming, Sharpie. I'll have to snag a picture of the headstock when I get home.Wow that's big. Who in hell even MAKES a Fender decal that big? More likely, someone traced around a Fender amp badge, then filled in with Sharpie.

Nor with a Sharpie. (If they existed, they were called "magic markers" in those days of yore.)In fairness, I'm sure Leo's first logo wasn't rendered in Illustrator.
Disagree. Nobody deserves to be hosed that way. There's no justification for that kind of dishonesty. Ever.
Sliding a fake decal on for your own amusement is one thing. Doing it in hopes of scamming someone else is a jive move.
If you are NOT kidding - here's the rule - any deal that seems too good to be true almost certainly is (not true). If you have doubts independent of the ones that come from "this is too cheap for what they say it is" - it almost DEFINITELY is not true. If you are a non-expert on the topic and you have questions about the item in question - WALK AWAY - it's is a near inevitability that it's a rip off.I came here for advice. I'm a guitar player, but I think I found a sweet deal... the issue is I've never seen a fender with a decal that looks like this, so I haven't bought it yet.
While I disagree with the individual who is suggesting that this is relevant to the counterfeit wars. I do have to say that this individual is indeed attempting to pass this product off as a Fender - therefore it is a counterfeit in the truest sense of the word - just a VERY BAD one.Not relevant. sorry. Anyone confusing that with an authentic decal deserves to be hosed.

As far as someone deserving to be hosed? No one deserves to be tricked and ripped off, ever. Even if they get tricked by attempting to "get away with" something themselves (the Bernie Madoff model of finance).
More importantly, think of all the people that really have no business knowing "better" who could be taken by this - ie imagine you're a 14 year old kid with a bunch of talent and poor parents. Now, they go out and do their best to get you something good that they can afford. They've been told "Fender is good" and they see this in the want ads and buy it for you - did they "deserve" to be taken? Nope.
My point was specifically focused on that decal alone and leveling this beating a dead-horse issue against that specific hs decal is laughable.
But if so, why bother to post in response at all if you feel you're above it all?
My point was specifically focused on the comment about how someone "deserves to be hosed."
On a related note, your "dead horse" may be somebody else's front page news if they've never ran into it before. If you've got experience and knowledge I think it's a much better thing to share it, rather than use it as a justification for knocking someone else for not having it. Anything you can think of is probably a 'first time' for somebody out there.
Or so I think anyway.![]()
All of the above was written with all due respect to all parties referenced. Last time I'll wander into this quicksand.
space is a terrible thing to waste
Real
It's a rare big block fender.
