I, for one, know very little about basses that, for instance, farmers built over the winter period in the Baltic area in bygone years. Nevertheless, I stand by what I said in my post#9 above, and I do have experience with similar produce from the Tyrolean/Balkan area (which appeared to be of far superior built quality - but pictures can possibly be deceiving).
Of course if you come to an international forum like TB with an non-standard instrument like this, you should expect some shooting from the hip. And maybe it would be nice to comply with customary practice, for instance on the language, or alternatively just use a PM.
