Is Wearing Sunglasses On Stage Douchey?

There is one stage I play that I will always wear sunglasses. The lights just blind you.
Dude... i hope i age like you! Honestly, anybody who is over the age of 50 and is still rocking is awesome in my eyes!

Are glasses ok? What if they are the kind that get dark on their own when exposed to UV?
Hats? Do rags? Jeans? Open shirts? Jewelry?

Yes, for the last 23 years. Although I also think they are prescription glasses as well. He needs to see what he's doing up there with the keyboards, two vocal mic positions, teleprompter... I'd imagine it would suck if you just took a spotlight right to the eyes and then are blinded trying to find middle C on the synth...
I've thought about wearing them. I've found myself trying to engage with a fan and completely lost where we were in a song.....1/2 measure later, I'm back. (one of the worst feelings, plus all 4 guys snapping there head in my direction) Also, I play with my eyes closed a lot. I think it would help me "look" like i was engaging the crowd even though my eyes are closed, and keep my ass in the pocket.
If the band I'm watching are playing outside during the day I wouldn't think anything of it. Or if it's their "thing" (ZZ Top Roy Orbison, ect.)

...indoors at night? Well, depends on the stage lighting. If the venue has big/bright/poorly aimed front spots, or if your on the side of the stage being blasted by multiple Par56/64 cans at point-blank range, then yeah, I've got no problem wearing shades indoors.
