For me, it's about equal. About $3000 each way. ... Years ago a friend in Toronto would drag his gear home from a gig in winter, wet, tired from taking the bus and subway, just to walk into his apt to be greeted by his original 62 Jazz bass sitting in the corner all warm and dry. ... He eventually sold it a bought a car.

Lol. Me too. Family needs one reliable car. That said, when I'm done paying off this $88/bi-weekly Hyundai Accent I'm getting a used van. The wife is tired of me borrowing her hatchback to move gear for gigs.
