ISIS...

Last time they played "Dulcinea", and the whole crowd was moving in unison during that epic ending!

That is one beautiful song.

That they're breaking up is totally shattering for me :bawl:

Edit:

@ OP Here's the Caxide's board as of June 20th, 2009:

it's a shame they are breaking up as of now, cause i literally JUST discovered them.. but then again it shouldn't phase me cause i can't see half the bands i would like to anyways (mainly cause alot of the people from these bands are dead)
oceanic F****** rocks, i can say that for sure. had a bit of a hard time getting into their more recent stuff cause i just get lost in there music.. caxide is a solid bassist but i honestly think he overdoes it with the chorus use just a bit. i figured he'd only use it on a few songs, but i found it on a bunch from what i remember listening to from them.

If most of his Boss pedals crapped out on him, he could get a direct replacement very quickly no matter where in the world he was playing.

I agree.

I think the whole band's pedal boards are made up of popular normally stocked pedals. I remember watching an interview with them saying that they keep it simple live when it comes to gear, and experiment more in the recordings.

Anyway Boss makes quality gear that many professionals of higher-profile bands use exclusively (Doesn't Prince use all Boss effects?). I agree that the band is at a level that justifies exploring more expensive boutique pedals, but why not just use what works? you know

Clap on: Boss pedals not so bad!:hyper:
.... Jeff's tone is fairly unique and the amount of depth to his single note picks are awesome (chorus, delay, tremelo, pitch shifting...). I love the fact that the bass in their mix is so prevalent and out in front.

A good musicman bass and and big bad mama jama rig from Aguilar goes a long way. I've always wondered though why he goes with Boss effects.

Clap off: Boss Pedals bad:bawl:
cause I am a gear snob and I believe there are higher caliber pedals that he could utilize.

Talk'n about fickle?"

Yea, Isis wasn't that bad at the casbah!
