I've made my decision...

After much research and TB reading, I've decided to pair my 73 SVT with the only cab intended for its use - an 810e, av, or heritage. Not sure which one but Im leaning toward the 810av or heritage strickly due to looks. These two are a couple hundred dollars more expensive. Are there more differences between these besides looks?

There is with the Heritage. The 810e and 810av's only differences are cosmetic, but the Heritage uses Eminence USA speakers vs. the Chinese Eminences in the other ones. How the sound is different, I couldn't tell you since I never played the Heritage, but everyone who has tells me the Heritage definitely sounds better.

Oh, I should also add that I really like the sound of the newer 810e's and av's, and that's coming from someone with a 69 SVT and a 73 flatback cab with the CTS alnicos. You'll still get the right sound either way you go, but I would get a Heritage based on looks alone ;)

+1

I am definately leaning that way also. I think the black sparkly grill cloth is sweet looking and will go nicely with the 73 SVT. The 810av would be an identical match grill cloth-wise but the Heritage would also match an SVT-CL if I decide to get a second SVT so Im not lugging my 73 around! Im drawn to the made in USA thing also!
