IYO, the BEST LOOKING bass EVER!!!!

Either Munji's pink bass or the white/whitepearl DJ5 with maple board.

HEY, the white one is mine! AWESOME! Thanks for the love.

This is IMHO the best looking bass ever. My 1988 Warwick THumb Bass NT4. Bubinga body, bubinga/wenge neck, wenge fingerboard, EMG' PUP and PRE, and a carved headstock. Enjoy. There are lots of great looking basses in this thread.

IMO Simon Farmer makes some of the most exciting looking basses ever. Here are my two:

If I was to pick a great looking bass I don't own I would have to say the Spalt Hybrid that I saw posted somewhere on here around the time I joined. A stunning photos of a stunning bass - it's a pity that the pics on the Spalt site aren't that good. And if someone can point me in the direction of where it was posted I'll be eternally grateful. In the meantime I'll also be enjoying the fretless Ritter and the 7-string Sei ealier in this thread!

Hmmm... i KNOW you've posted / owned quite a few odd balls

not sure if that is aimed at mine or not (problem with vague generalization)... but my basses are musical instruments / tools well before being art. I own them all for their playability & tone.

Oddballs?? No WAY!! :D This thread is about aethstetics not functionality. MY FEELING is that once a bass gets so complex, it's no longer a thing of beauty.

Like I said, just my personal preference, not dissin anyone. I can't handle more than 5 strings, I wish I could :(

My "favorite" bass varies from day to day, but I always like the look of an F-bass or an MTD.

Here's one of my favorites of the latter, with a water cured redwood top:

And of course I love my custom bass. I'm sure it's not everybody's cup of tea but I really dig it.

Also, there's plenty of beautiful Stambaugh's in the gallery in my sig.
