My custom Roya 5, which will be done in a few months, wil have a PURPLEHEART body, birds eye maple top, and PURPLE KINGWOOD fretboard like this one...!!!

I'm not too partial to getting rid of the (now) fake diamond, as it is the ONLY position marker on the entire instrument...

If I'm right, that's a big, fine-quality diamond in that 'board isn't it?? Great bass !!

It was, but I just couldn't justify (or in anyway pay for) a 8.500 Euro diamond to sit as a 12th fret marker in a bass...!

I had it swapped for a fake diamond that looks exactly the same, but cost... well, nothing !

hmm a nice looking bass is good but if it doesnt play well i dont want anything to do with it i just have an ebony finger board with a sunburst quilted top finnish its nothing special to look at but it gets the job done right(however that ritter is one sexy piece of wood and i hope it plays as good as it looks)

call me crazy but i find something really attractive about the simplicity of an old fender P bass. white/aged yellow, black pg, maple neck. that does it for me.

No conceit there. I love Mike's older basses. I'd have posted mine, but I can honestly say I've seen prettier. I can't say I've seen one I like more, though.

Nothing hotter than a LPB jazz, pearloid blocks and matching headstock to me (bonus points for a matching pearloid PG as well)

These basses were from fellow tbers in the classifieds

Black n maple p's are hot as well, and I like the oly white with black PG/rosewood combo as well on a P. Guess i'm more of an old fashioned guy when it comes to taste in basses.
