Congrats, brother! Really interested in your "report" on this beauty. Is it true that Sires have a rounded edge around the neck (like you can't feel the frets or anything)? How does it sound compared to other J-basses? Do you know the weight?

Who has the skinny on the reason for backlog? Supply chain issues? Re-
tooling in a larger facility?

Edit: Maybe demand from retailers is higher than their ability to produce. I see they are out in the market. Only site claims sold out...

Good job!! Looks great! What does it sound like? Is it heavy?

Yes, it looks fantastic. It weighs about 9 pounds. Feels substantial, but not a boat anchor. I have no idea what it sounds like, but I will find out shortly when I take it home!
