it looks like a copy of a Gibson eb3, how do they get away with it! no one seems to bother when a Gibson, Fender is copied but if Warwick had done a bass that looked anything like a Rickenbacker then all hell would have opened up!!!!!
first time i saw the Warwick i was shocked and thought it was a Gibson jack Bruce.
The headstock is Warwick and not Gibson, and the body is slightly different.
They were just released; mine came from the NY Custom Shop last Wednesday. Here's a demo I did of it this week. It's a pretty slick playing bass, and built extremely well.
Demo - Warwick Artist Series Jack Bruce Survivor
Hi Ric5
did you not think that it looked like the Gibson when you first seen it. i had to read it twice to make sure it was a Warwick! saw it first a month or two back on "No treble" even has the big Gibson pickup. yes the body is contoured more and its the Warwick headstock but every one that sees it will think of Jack's EB3 he played in the 60 and 70s before changing to the Warwick fretless.
Of course it resembles a SG body ... But is the SG shape covered by a trademark?
Or...you guys can just not buy it and move on.

bassistjoe93 said:$8775??? For that price, Jack Bruce had better come with it!....With a $7000 off coupon! Yikes.
You better both get along. Do you have the space to adopt a rock star? What if he eats a lot? Is he housebroken?
All questions you should consider before you go and adopt a baby boomer rock star.

Interesting "mahagony" (my agony?) wood choice![]()
I'd love to have this bass but its way overpriced IMO. Also I find it curious its a signature bass and the artist doesn't even play one. I don't think JB is giving up his fretless Thumb bass anytime soon........
Well its a beautiful bass and I'm sure Jack chooses Warwicks because its an outstanding instrument. I'll be glad to play one if I ever make it onto your artist list!!!
My pawnbroker took my 1972 GIBSON EB-3L a breath after my ticket came due- although in every other case I usually had a grace period. The G string on that instrument played like no otherI'd rather spend about a third to a quarter of that and get a good vintage Gibson EB3-L.
