my 1B has a EMG, the rest are J2000'ed

honestly I never played one, only concert EX, ( XL neckthru ), a couple concert 5's and all the old B series (concert predecessors if you will ) I watch videos of c20s "in use" but that's tone...I kinda like to feel them because the necks tend to be different, even if slightly. I never played a Fusion and those were kinda popular way back when.

I tried one and I didn't like it. It didn't compare to what I liked about my Charvel 3B. However, I have a weird taste in basses. It felt really mundane whereas vintage J/C basses feel kinda crazy and sleek.

Try one out for yourself. You would definitely have a different impression than I would.

oh MAN, I'm surprised it didn't come with a double-P, but wow is that nice in white.

I ALWAYS DROOL OVER THIS ONE the ole EleffsonBird:

And if you look at mine, it has REVERSE fins:

I tell many people I wished all my Charvels had sharkfins, cause that concert is from the same years and just looks like a 3B neckthru body but with the jackson neck.

the fins always make the difference, just like a RIC has it's fins and everyone knows what they are.

Woah, Mike--I never realized your TBX has reverse inlays...it looks really good. Maybe because you play it upside down.

I really want to try a dual-p bass some day. A nice one. Because I love the sound of P pickups, but I always think that the one in the middle would be complemented better by another P at the bridge than a J pickup, although J pickups sound very swell indeed to my ears.

I think e.g. the TBX features dual-p pickups. The EMG 35 pickup series has different types. Mostly they look like humbuckers (35DC or 35CS) but very often the 35P is used!
I aggree on your point of with the J pickups!

hey andre, I finally took a pic of all the "other" jacksons all together. This one is going to be changed, as I just won a red 1B off ebay for 155.00, when it comes this picture will be outdated---lol.

PLEASE EXCUSE the misfit basses that wanted to get into the "JACKSON" picture.... hahaha

yes Andre, that is correct the TBX has a 35P and a 35J not 2 humbuckers or 2 P's I never really thought about changing the bridge pup into another 35P.

I've never liked the thunderbird shape eventhough I am into out-of-box shaped basses. And this was until I've seen those TBX pictures. Those pictures make me wants one.
How much are they going for and how often you can see them someone selling?
