Jamplay online bass lessons

Thanks for the response JamPlay. I tried signing up for a 7 day free trial last night using this link: Invalid Link Removed But it didn't work. I don't know if it's out of date or not? I did receive an email from Linda at JamPlay stating that she saw I tried to sign up and to email her back with questions. I did that but I haven't heard anything back as of yet. I guess I can always sign up for the one day free trial but it would be nice if I had more than one day to check it out as I can't sit in front of the computer all day.

What didn't work on that trial setup? I just tested it out and it worked great.

Also, what's the email you used when replying to Linda's email? And do you know what date/time you replied? She's usually very good about replying so I'd like to check into our system to make sure the email got to her okay.

I've been taken care of and I now have a free 4 day trial. I've started on Freebo's course and have gone through the first 3 sections. Looks good so far.

I signed up for a monthly subscription to check the site out. I'm really enjoying David Keif's series on pentatonics. This is some of the best stuff I've seen for the average working bass player! I've been on a theory kick lately and have gotten locked into the mindset of outlining chord shapes. This series reminded me how much mileage you can get out of using pentatonics for connecting notes and for fills in general. Good stuff!

I tried to check out the Jam Play site today and my anti virus software blocked it twice due to malicious virus noted on the site. I think it have been a url: malware detection. Has anyone else had this problem?
We had a very brief moment in dealing with some hacking attempts (oh the joys of the Internet...). Nothing malicious resulted, but some antivirus software did throw a few warnings for a few hours. Should be good to go now!

Hi, very recently signed up to the bass side to jamplay and pretty much all positives to say. Great teachers presenting many aspects from theory, ear training, improv etc. Danny Morris lessons in particular help me as I am in a band but playing guitar but needing to cover for our bass player occasionally. Absolutely loving playing the bass by the way.

My set up is an iPad plugged into my small Marshall amp along with my ibanez ATK. I print off the supporting lesson notes and stream the lessons and play along for a bit. I then go to the respective jam tracks and continue. This is where you make the gains as opposed to having a local teacher. You can continue practising and move on. I have found quite often the next lessons answer any questions you may have. You can always drop into the chat area and pretty much get anything answered. There is also a comment area an often it seems the teachers view it to.

I do have a private teacher but it is very expensive and can only do one lesson every two weeks. Jamplay yearly subscription equates to around four private lessons. Jamplay is 24/7 !!

I consider myself sort of a starting intermediate and there is enough content for me at the moment although it seems the guitar side is really deep with content. Later in the year I can see myself possibly getting a guitar subscription as well and would hope a good price to be available to be a joint member. The two "products" do appear unbalanced size wise and I believe at present shouldn't be priced similarly. I did however use a code and paid £68 ish after conversion from $ using PP. This is for the year. I believe this can now be improved a little.

A present there are no live bass lessons but many live guitar lessons. My bass subscription allows me to watch these I believe. I've seen about 4 so far with a similar amount having a decode error. Not sure if this is iPad related. I keep meaning to get the laptop out. Most lessons are UK evening and night for obvious reasons. Another little quirk is that the metronome can't be seen on the iPad but does work very well on the laptop.

All in all I am very pleased. The price for the year is great and having the 24/7 aspect in my opinion seriously aid progress. Forgot to mention the video quality and camera angles - phenominal. I'm very happy, my progress and understanding has improved greatly in a very short period.
