Janky-A Rigs of Doom

It's an old 90's Hartke 3500 that sustained a pretty major injury along the way. It received a sharpie paint job and a new set of random, mismatched knobs from some cheap parted-out basses after it was repaired. I occasionally fantasize about sending it back to Hartke for a refurb. It smoked out once at a rehearsal, but still plays somehow(?!?).
I think this little amp may fit the category. I needed a battery operated amp for my comicon costume and came up with this.
Here's the back side.

And the car stereo amp used for power.
50 watts of pure MOSFET power routed through this massive 6 1/2" neo driver.
Sounds pretty good for what it is, and since it runs on batteries, you can take it on the road.

The Bass is my Special Edition Spector NS4. Only two were made, Wenge neck thru, Wenge fretboard with Abalone, a water-cured Redwood cap, over Black Walnut. Carbon rod in the three piece wenge neck. Very sweet player.
Would this qualify as Janky-A? I was surveying the storage room at the school where I teach and stumbled across this rig. I have yet to fire it up.

I don't know about jank, that could be a top quality speaker in that cabinet...looks like a cast frame and the sheen of the dome isn't satin enough to look like an Altec, guessing JBL or maybe a Gauss. If you open it up, please let us know. I love the treasures from the '70s!
I've honestly only heard one in person, but with that said I really like the look of the aluminum dustcaps, or the white paper ones.
My ultra-shabby Peavey was making some unusual noise a few weeks ago, and I thought my amateurishly patched speaker was finally giving out. It turned out that a couple of pots needed a cleaning, but in the meantime I found a broken Ampeg BA-115 on craigslist for $30, I figured I'd plunder it for the speaker if I couldn't repair it.
As it turns out, it was an easy fix, and it sounds a little better than the Peavey (though not nearly as loud.) It still fits in with the low budget/janky theme pretty well:

Hey alaskaleftybass, doing well, thanks for asking! The current band doesn't have a warehouse, so I don't have a need for a sacrificial amp at the moment and I've mainly been using my M6 Carbine. I miss the chodehammer a bit, and I'm on the lookout for a small practice amp - a little Basic 40 would be ideal I think. Nearly bought a newer Rumble 40, but it certainly lacked the chode's je ne sais quoi.
My Ampeg SVT head farted out and while it was in the shop, I used a 150w Behringer head...
I completely forgot about this thread! I need to update my pics, as I've got some janky going on with my practice rig. 
what do you mean by ''miss the chode''? Say it isn't so!
Sadly, I had to part with it when my band vacated the ratty warehouse (I gave it to another musician in the band.) I brought it home for a weekend to fix an intermittent problem a few months prior to that, and it left my garage smelling horrible, so I knew I needed to find it a new home.
I do keep tabs on it though, and I'm glad to say it's still going (and smelling) strong.
