Jazz Bass 1T, 1V, 3Way Selector + Series Parallel Help!

Sure it does.

Your switch is a four-position switch, right? Then yours has three poles, each with four positions. Just use two-thirds of your switch, and ignore the third pole.

Is this what you mean? Use the blue circle ones like shown in the diagram and ignore the red?

Hi all. I need to revive this thread as I'm trying to hook up two humbuckers in my EB bass using the diagram previously posted and it's not working correctly. Some assistance would be awesome. I'll outline each issue one by one.

- The first and most obvious issue is that the wiring is backwards from the diagram. Position 4 is the neck and 1 is the bridge, which is the opposite of how it is on the diagram. No idea how that happened.

- Position 1 is the bridge, which seems to work, except for an awful buzzing sounded if I'm not touching the strings, like there's a grounding problem or something. And the neck pickup makes an awful noise when I touch/tap it.

- Position 2 seems to work ok. I think it's both pickups in parallel from the sound of it. No unwanted noise.

- Position 3 doesn't work at all. Nothing except for a weak sound that's very low. I guess this is supposed to be both pickups in series but's it's clearly not working right.

- Position 4 seems to be the neck. Like position 2, this one also seems ok.

I've checked and double checked everything. I had a blend knob hooked up before and everything was fine. So I don't know what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated because currently I'm at a loss. :(

Oh also, I found this other diagram that seems to be labeled the same. Except the wiring is completely different from the one already in this thread that I've been trying to use. Any thoughts? Should I try this one instead? Thanks in advance.
