Jazz Body with a Tele Neck

I hope this isn't a redundant question, I did do a quick search, but does anyone have a Jazz bass body with a tele neck?

It seems like two would be compatible, maybe not, that's why I'm asking.

I was thinking about a Warmoth combo and figured I'd check here first. A pic would be great if available.

The heel of a Fender Tele neck is squarer than a Fender Jazz (or Precision) neck pocket.
I'm not sure about Warmoth models.

I have a tele neck (with the squared off heel) on a precision body (with a rounded heel). I've had no issues what so ever, go for it.

And a nice combo it is, that is a sweet looking bass.

Is that a brass pickguard? Another neat idea.

If you go Warmoth or USG you can order it to fit the Jazz neck pocket.

I've also thought about doing that.

Sweet bass! On the inside cover of the first Weezer cd, there's a pic of the bass player's bass. It's a Fender jazz body w/ a tele neck. I've been wanting to build one also, as I think it looks cool...

I start with a jazz body, then I add a p-bass neck and then I put 5 strings on it ...

I have a Jazz body on 70' Jazz bass neck and the headstock has been Tele-ized!

i don't have pics, but i saw a guy playing once with that configuration. Tele neck on a Jazz body. i asked about it. come to find out that it was a late 60's Jazz body and a mid 50's P neck.
he bought it that way and only later researched to find the respective years for each piece.

I always loved the Telecaster basses and the early precision basses with that type of headstock, they "flow" if you know what I mean.

I was thinking of an exotic wood cap (burled camphor maybe?) on a Jazz body (mahogany) with a tele neck, not sure about the neck/fretboard wood yet.

The warmoth jazz body swamp ash and the tele. neck by warmoth is a nice combo. wonderful craftsmanship, the neck's are a 10. fender is a 91/2. something to think about.

If you prefer the size of a P neck, as I do, they're compatible and work nicely together. The standard Warmoth tele neck is rounded to fit most Fender/Squier bodies.

... I 'reshaped' the headstock on one of my J's to a 'Tele' pattern ... it was part of an all out assault on an 'experimental' bass ...
