Jazz neck on a P body?

Schecter is making the prototypes for my signature model, as we speak. They will be P bodies, with J necks, and Seymour Duncan custom wound, vintage-y pickups (read: warm, but powerful).
It's gonna be awesome. They took incredibly detailed measurements of one of my basses that I had custom made to my exact specs.
I think it's gonna be a bass that a good part of the bass community is gonna really like.

Squier P Bass Special here... The best thing I've ever played on. Fits my hands perfectly and the tone was absolutely amazing even with the factory strings! Might go as far as selling my Iceman and getting another of those Squiers... They make a sweet black one now with a matching headstock. I'm lucky that I got my Satin Pewter Black one before they discontinued those colors.

How satisfied were you when the bass went into your hands and you started playing the first few notes? I am really obsessing about a skyline 44-64 right now but keep telling myself a parts P/J neck will be just as good. Also looking for used cabs makes me not want to spend $1000 on a bass right now.

I currently have everything except the body for a P body/J neck build, and will throw down pics, video, and soundclips as soon as it's done. I've been staring at this Rio Grande Vintage P pup on my workbench for too long.

By the way, the J neck is bass perfection IME IMO YMMV, all that.

I have a 03 Lakland Skyline Glaub with a jazz taper neck,
not many of them around..

Sweeeet! The drummer in my band/my best friend is the Northeast sales rep for Schecter (and SD), so I get to try out whatever samples he gets (also why I own a bunch of Schecters, lol). I'll put this on the list of products I must get a hold of to try out. Thanks for the tip!
