JHS "Moonshine" Overdrive on bass

I personally love the way this sounds, it's not as one-dimensional as the "Low Drive," but more aggressive than the "Morning Glory."

Interesting. I had two Low Drives and a Morning Glory over the past several years. Didn't really care for the Low Drive, but I liked the Morning Glory. The Moonshine has some definite potential.

the moonshine is just a slightly modified TS808 running on 18V or actually maxon OD-820.

JHS puts out some good pedals. I've been waiting to see this demo. Their are also some good guys to work with for mods and such.

Yeah these guys make good stuff! Given, I think everyone gets a little too obsessed with "boutique" pedal brands, but JHS makes some fantastic pedals. The "pandamonium" in particular is such a great bass pedal.

I just did a recording with one on bass. They had it at the studio and I intended to use my big muff but tried this out and fell in love. Warm but also biting. A great combo for what I was looking for. Retains the low end quite well too. Will post sound clips after mixing.
