Gotta get at least one more pedal, a tuner; Punchline and tuner for a minimalist pedalboard..

I would like to see a V2 of the Punchline, adding in a few things; tuner, aux in, headphone out, & fx loop...

OR...! A variant that is a true all-in-one bass pedal; tuner, comp, fuzz, overdrive, amp sim, cab sim, eq, chorus, octave, envelope filter, di; with all sections having in/out 1/4" jacks on the back, so you can patch panel them into whatever order you want...

I'd probably order the existing Punchline if it were equipped with a variable high-pass filter - I don't need fuzz or overdrive.

@Aric Bjorn - Congrats!
The cool thing about the Punchline is that it's not an "effects pedal" like buying a chorus or fuzz, it's a foundation which is very easy to use. With the combination of features you'll have the ability to dial in an incredible tone which many bassists only hope to achieve. ;)

@Jazzdogg - You've read the reviews. With Sweetwater's return policy, why not roll the dice if you're able to check it out for yourself before they're sold out?

Because I consider a variable high-pass filter a necessity, and it doesn't have one.

Coming in at #2 on their list is: The JHS Punchline, with some added comments that weren't in their earlier review, such as "So, in closing, this is one of those things that I didn't know I wanted or needed... It's probably, outside of bass guitars, it's my favorite piece of gear I received all year!" and, maybe a little hyperbolic, "It's tremendously worth whatever dollar amount it was"

Mine is waiting for me at work (back tomorrow). Man that UPS is quick… 3 days to Aus! Looking forward to giving it a run. :hyper:

Ordered mine today... really tough decision tho. I really wanted to order the Tone Hammer V2 and the UAFX 1176. My issue with the TH is I think there is still that thing about not being able to gain match the normal and drive channel, where you can flip between gain and normal without having to make adjustments. The original TH had me either running with AGS engaged full time or off... Some videos act like they fixed that in V2, but it isn't that clear. A hands on review from a user says you still have the same issue. Hence the Punchline arriving in a week. I think all in all, I will like the Punchline better, at least I am telling myself that lol.

I've been meaning to post about the new knobs I got for my Punchline! I could have just bought some online, but had a planned trip to Tokyo and I wanted to try and find some in Akihabara. I used to live there in the '80s as a teen and used to go there a lot with my dad. He passed away in 2001, so this was kind of a pilgrimage. I get it. I watch Bass the World about once every 3-4mo, but for some reason I happened to watch this one today. I'm not a JHS fanboi either - I hardly knew what the Punchline was before today and I've never used a JHS pedal that I'm aware of. I might've plugged into a Color Box once in a studio, but I don't think we tracked bass through it.
