John Mayer Trio's NEW bassist

I was watching this replay of their recent performance and was shocked to learn that John and Steve were playing with a new bassist by the name of "DINO" Palladino. I had never heard of the guy before, but he did a damn fine job. Any of y'all ever heard of DINO before?

That was pretty funny. Bill Murray made a little boo-boo.

Cool speech. Only don't like the superlatives, greatest guitarist and bassist in the world and so. The guitar is too loud in the mix overpowering the drums. But nice to see them play again! Was it just this one show or are they going to do more?

Trio is a one-off. Mayer just started a solo acoustic tour.

I have to say though, it seemed a bit messy to me. I don't think Jordan could hear the others well, as he came in much faster than Mayer on the 1st tune, and overall they didn't sound in sync.

Yes in the first song I had the same feeling. Maybe the guitar was just to loud on stage or so....

I too have felt the sting of embarassment on numerous occasions when introducing people named Pino after having been handed a sheet of paper with hastily written introductions on them. Those dang P's can look like D's depending on the amount of coffee and/or model airplane glue the author might have had whilst in the midst of composition.

That said, the new guy jams.

No I mean the Fender Stratocaster he played on the last song. It sounded so much better than the PRS.
