Joining the Accugroove club!!

My Accugroove Whappo Jr just showed up today and it sounds awesome with my Thunderfunk TFB550. It is definately a cleaner more articulate cabinet than my Aggie GS112s were. I still have it in the "break in stage" so I haven't cranked it yet, but it is plenty loud (louder than my aggies). I can definately see the flat/even response from it and it truely doesn't hide anything in my bass playing (good or bad). I also really like the fact that I can hear my cabinet even when standing right in front of it. That 6" speaker really contributes to that (I think).

I'll get a picture up soon.

Here is my new Whappo Jr and Thunderfunk. I might also add that the Whappo Jr is very easy for me to pick up and move around.

I've had a few weeks to break the cabinets in and play around with various physical configurations.

Stacking them on top of each other vertically projects very well and a very clean sound. Stacking them on their sides seems to result on more low mids. My preference is to stack them on their sides.

The conclusion after a few weeks? VERY pleased. I think they have a tighter low end than the Acme and just seem fuller across the full spectrum. The highs are very nice, no hiss. It seems like they've definitely gotten louder as they've broken in. Don't know if my ears are playing tricks on me, but it sounds good regardless.

They're expensive, but I'm pleased. These are keepers.
