Another handy thing to know - if you set up the shipment this way from the outset (having it sent to a FedEx center) its cheaper than if delivered to your home or business.

A nice feature with FEDEX is that you can call them with the tracking number (if you are going to be out of town) and tell them to hold it at a local facility for you. Then pick it up when you wish. You can do it on the web too.

Kinda handy.

The web won't let me do this. I sent an email to the email address provided on the tracking email that was sent, hoping maybe it can be done at your end. If I can't get this done (unfortunately, I'm out of town both Saturday and the following Tuesday), I'll call them. No big deal.

Edit: Just talked to FedEx... very limited ability to do this. They could hold it in Green Bay, which is over an hour away. No big deal, I'm going to try to reschedule my Tuesday meeting so that I will be here (edit2: Done.... will have it on Tuesday!!!).

I appreciate this testing and evaluation. It helps me too.

It does seem to me that we are hooking our Line Out into a variety of input impedances. An impedance mismatch can give us serious degradation of sound and playing characteristics. And to make matters difficult, not every product documents the input impedance.

An occasional standard of a 10K input impedance is what a lot of builders use for their EFX returns and Power Amp inputs. That is what Monique Line Out is optimized for.

I'm connecting the Monique Line Out to the EFXs return on my Series 3 Acoustic Image Clarus. I confirmed with Rick Jones (of Acoustic Image) that the input impedance of the Clarus effects loop is 10k ohms. The Clarus power amp sounds really good with the Monique.

For being "slightly drunk" you're playing is pretty dang crisp, in fact the whole band sounds really, really good. Big points on the vibro-slap as well.

Thanks! This is what I do when I'm not on the internet fighting about basses.

One of our guitarists is doing a hippy-snow-bird thing this year and he's done over a school bus as a home and they're driving down to NC as we speak for the winter months, so I wanted to document where we are now musically so I brought out the computer...but it also was a celebration, so I showed up with a few six packs not paying attention to the 9.9% part for the labels... These are a few beers in and there were a few 'misssed' takes along the way.

Can't go anywhere without vibra slap. We happen to have 2 of them in the band. I'm usually a couple in by the time I hit the stage, so I can take a few without being a complete mess.
