Wishing I'd gone dove cage now. Anyone interested in a rack swap
What specifically makes you want the Dove Cage over the rack mount? Looks, size, weight etc?
Looks are nice. However, I just snagged a big tube head, so the idea of the dove cage with an SWR Amplite for a traveling rig seems like a good compliment. The current rack is still pretty light, it just gets a tad bulky.

I find it REAL HARD to not run my Millennia other than in 'full tube' mode with the x-former engaged...controlled lows but still very expressive.
Can't imagine what a really dialed in but controlled full-blown tube pre would bring...

Just take some time and play with Monique's knobs for a while to get used to her. Although it sounded great out of the box (after I reseated the tubes) it took several days for me to get used to Monique after several years with the Thunderfunks!
It really did take me a while to get used to a totally different animal.
Hope you get it this week!
My $0.02. Ignore the eq. Just mess with the sensitivity knob. That is where the magic mostly resides. I find the eq to be subtle seasoning, while the sensitivity is more towards the emotional mood swing control.

So, I'm prepared to relax and mess with it for a while I have a feeling it will be glorious through my Berg CN212 (everything seems to be glorious through that cab). Should be fun.
Not sure if it will make it this week or not. I have a tracking number, but no estimated delivery date. On the road over the weekend, so if it is due Saturday, they will come back and deliver it next Tuesday (FEDEX does not do Monday residential delivery). I'm hoping for Friday though. We shall see!
