Funny that I was the opposite. Had a Mo700 Tardis and sold it (stupidly) with the intention of getting a rack mount and then never found a rack mount when I had the coin.
I used to use a Pedal Train hard case to cart it around (it fit perfectly) and the case weighed more than the amp.
Another lesson learned the hard way I suppose.

Last saturday we recorded 3 covers for a promo we're working on. 3 Different basses into Monique. D.I. out, just a little bit of tweaking the tone settings of Monique and heaven!

Thanks. Yeah, I'm not surprised. I was also thinking about the difference between passive and active intruments (hypothesis: Monique shines best with active basses…)?

I wouldn’t make any assumptions that way, P, J, active or passive. We had a GTG years ago and a bunch of guys had a Monique and we’re using Fodera, MTD, Sadowsky, Alleva Coppolo, Smith. I use a P but also a bunch of active basses that I tend to play in passive mode with Mo as I prefer it’s more natural sounding tone shaping. But anything goes.

that’s exactly what I do. Lol. Fits in my Pelican 1560 with the trekpack kit. Amp sits on the bottom > layer of foam > then my pedal board on top. I’m able to squeeze in cables too. Works really nice. Jule doesn’t have the desktop 700 advertised on his site. But this was my explanation when I asked him to do the desktop build. I like the form/function of a Pelican over an ata case any day.

Anything goes. I use Ashborys through Monique as well. In fact when invited in the studio for a date they say, "make sure your bring that little bass." What's out between me and the board is Monique. Hifi sounding tubes is something that I appreciate. It's not specifically (insert here) the expected sound of tubes. It does it all. A fave for me is a McIntosh like clear full tube sound. I was just playing my P and getting luscious buttah through Monique. I asked Jule about this when I first got one. I heard Sunn 2000s and Hiwatt. Both clear big throaty tube sounds. Jule said oh yeah that's in it's DNA.

Sorry if it has has been asked before but I don’t manage to read the 250 pages of this thread alone.

I recently got a Jule Monique dovecage and though I dig it I see the highs are almost not there at all.
I ask as I got it second hand. I crank the treble and get a nice acoustic like sound by doing that but they are no brilliant highs.
Is it how the preamp is voiced?
No complains as I dig it

It's not the brightest preamp. Try pulling the two gain controls and cranking up the treble. I don't think pulling the gain controls will make it brighter, but it adds harmonics so the sound is bit more lively. Gainy up the front end a bit.

The presence knob is also going to have a dramatic effect. Completely clockwise is going to give you the brightest tone.

I have a few basses that have a hotter output and I don’t pull the line or sensitivity. Others with lower output I do or just pull the sensitivity. The amount of saturation or noticable overdrive really depends on what’s going on as you really don’t get an input attenuator. Also on the EQ the bands overlap so you can for example turn the bass off, sensitivity all the way up and the highs and just play with the kids. I’d go through every possible combination and see where it takes you. Some pretty unusual and dramatic settings can really work. Plugging in a different bass is also going to bring on an entirely new set of challenges to figure out. I find it pretty endless.

I don't think thats right. What is your signal chain? Can you try DI into a Full-Range system?
While the Monique is not the brightest Amp, the treble/sensitivity controls allow to add high frequencies.
Does the treble knob anything if you turn it up?
Maybe you have a tube problem...
