Haven't noticed that. Only oddity I have with Minnie is when I turn the fan on it howls for a little while before it calms down. Kinda like the hamsters are complaining![]()
My fan just makes that noise the whole time! Not a problem when I'm crankin though. At first I assumed it was the fan possibly loose and bouncing around in there, but it is indeed a board slapping against the chassis from being cracked in half. Super glue?
I feel like an 8yr old boy today and its Christmas morning. Just got an email from FedEx stating that Monique will be arriving today! WhoooHoooo!!!!
No, don't super glue it.
Mr. Demeter will want to know about this. He will gain more information by looking at the board untouched.
I would contact Mr. Demeter immediately and work out the logistics so you can ship the unit back.
sad news. Over the last couple of gigs I've noticed my Minnie kind of making a clunking sound when I pick it up to put it in my custom bag I had made for both Monique and Minnie. I decided to open Minnie up and found that one of the main boards just cracked in half. So everything still works and is plugged together correctly, but that sound is from this little transformer in there hitting the chassis as it clunks back and forth now. I treat both Monique and Minnie like little babies and they are well protected in their bag. Hoping I drunkenly smacked it against a wall and it's not some kind of design flaw where there's a tad too much weight on that board....anyone come across this issue yet?
I am pretty sure the Minnie warranty covers "drunken smacking" too.
Your Minnie was unit #1 I think. Or very close. I do know those were hand made boards, and I have noticed that the supports and boards have changed.
He (James) is a great guy to work with. I know he would appreciate the opportunity to see what happened and make it right.
As to the fan, I'll ask James if he has changed something. Recently (in the last several months) I have difficulty hearing if the fan is on or off during testing. It is very quiet.
I'll ask him if the fan in the Minnie changed and let y'all know.

Photos and a report or it didn't happen.
I've still got about 5 weeks to go. Can't wait.
Seriously, report back with your thoughts, and photos if possible.
Enjoy!

I think my singer told the organizer that I play a 2000w tube amp.... Not a tube pre with a 2000w solid state poweramp.
In any case, they rented this little puppy for my band. Not surprisingly, the 20,000w did indeed suffice!
