Hey! I was the only crazy one with both the dove cage and rack Moniques!!!:spit::D

Congrats!

I have 2 as I don't want to play other amps and sold all the others. The dove cage spends most time in my studio and the rack is getting most of the gigs and rehersals lately.

Coming up on a year as a Monique owner and I haven't looked at another amp since. Great preamp.:bassist:

Practicing tonight by recording as I play selections from The Lost Art Of Country Bass. I'm still pretty early on, and haven't recorded in a while. What I can say is that Monique is giving me the most musical bass sound I've ever recorded with. She is also revealing all my technique flubs... and there are several. Not sure when I'll be comfortable posting my playing, but I'm very happy with what I'm getting when I hit a clean streak. Mistakes are definitely the Indian and not the arrow.

So this is the month when Monique is supposed to arrive. I'm so pumped. I can't wait to experience what you all have been bragging about so much here on the site. I can't wait to have my first dance with her. LOL!

Thanks... and yes, crazy is certainly a word that would apply over here, too! :smug:

I was kind of thinking of flipping your script and bolting the rackmount Monique into the studio rack next to my other preamps/DI's (Great River, etc) for quick recording needs, while having the dovecage for gigs...

Somehow, I think a Demeter 800 power amp purchase is unavoidable with the dovecage! :hiding:

Played at a garden party this weekend. Eq set flat on both Monique and the mixer board and it sounded fantastic.

I’m very pleased. To my ear, the combination of Monique, Minnie and Eden D210XST works very well. I have plenty of volume for my average gig, a nice bottom, sweet midrange and top and a good definition. I know some of you other Monique users use Baer and Bergantino. Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to compare the Eden with them.

Don't know if anyone else has tried this, but I have a need for plugging two basses into my Monique (Fretless & Fretted) at an upcoming outdoor Concert. I don't want to keep plugging/unplugging and drive the sound man nuts. I have a Radial Big Shot ABY box that is for plugging 1 instrument into 2 amps. It seems that if I use it backwards i.e. plugging 2 instruments into output A & output B and plugging the input into Monique it Works! Anyone know of any harm in doing this?

You could use a Radial Big Shot instrument selector.
