Jule Amps Simone

Love my Simone 500! Been using it to drive my Monique Black Bamboo. Added some aluminum (Barefoot) buttons to get the stomp switches taller than the plastic control knob...View attachment 4139311
Pulling out Monique’s Line Level knob, the amp slams really hard (with nice headroom) into my NV412.

Had my buddy @ExaltBass make some custom length/orientated cables to either use the amp next to Monique (on a wide cab)...or place it on the floor, when using my narrow Berg HG410X cab...View attachment 4139312
I also use S-500 to drive keyboards directly into cabs...

I also have some barefoot buttons on my Jule, had these made for myself and shipped a bunch to Jule as a surprise for him.

I had one briefly... it was one of the testing protos. I loved that thing. It has some different character than the Monique, and is its own preamp. It ended up having to go back to Jule too soon for some care and updates (it wasn't a final version) which was too bad. I thought it sounded excellent.
I preface by saying, Hondo is a friend of mine and has been for many years. But he also is very professional and doesn't lie, so you all might want to check out his Simone vid.

Does this Simone 500 have the same power ratings as the M500?
They are different amps. Both Hypex, but entirely different. So yes, different specs.

For us, much of the difference comes from the fact that the power supply for the M500 is the same one used for the M700. This power supply will deliver enough power for 1200 watts, depending on how I use it.

Simone 500 has its own integrated power supply. Simone 500 gives us a true 500 watts into 4 ohms, but is not as strong as the M500 into 2 ohms and 8 ohms. May not make any difference in the real world. Just techy stuff - but that is what I do.

Hondo does awesome quite well. Thanks for posting that.

I need a Simone.
Yes. I'm getting convinced too. ;)

The wonderful Jahmal Nichols put together some sound sample too. I haven't put them up yet, but it shouldn't be too long. While you are at it, check out his new album "Black Frequencies." Yummy.

And just so you know, you can get "Black Frequencies" on Amazon. Just sayin'.
