Julie Slick again

Julie, are you using a delay pedal on the intro to A Little Madness on that WDR video, and if so which one?

Ah, excellent question... I'm using a Korg AX3000B multi-effects unit with a delay preset I made me-self. I'm not sure if it's the backwards one or not...

I watched the Dr. Dog segment on Jimmy Fallon last night. Eric's drumming was a definite highlight. I've never heard them before, and was impressed with their song-writing and performance.
Julie, were you visible on camera seated in the first row behind your brother? There was a young woman seated there that resembled you a bit.
One other thing - I read a recent entry on your website about having a "mamoun". Thanks for waking a nearly forgotten memory - the last time I had a falafel at Mamoun's (sp?) in the Village, I must have been about your age - and it must have been in around 1979. :)

I missed Eric on Kimmel? Bummer. Any YouTube vids of it up? I don't think I've ever heard of Dr. Dog.

Dr Dog was actually on Fallon on Tuesday - but they will be on Kimmel later in the month...

Might as well Propose now cause I am in Love!

My Dearest Julie, will you Marry Me! :D

Oh boyyyyyyy.... where's blushing emoticon?

Julie, your video Adrian Belew "A Little Madness" that is the tone i never knew I had to have, before today.
I'm ashamed to admit I hadn't heard of you until i read this thread.
You Rule!! Seriously one of maybe 2 bass players in the last 8 - 10 years
to really inspire me. Keep it up

Awesome! Glad to post here!

Howard Stern played a couple cuts by Dr. Dog on his show Wednesday because one of his former interns plays guitar with them. I was pretty impressed. Didn't know your brother played drums with them...good deal! Looks like they're about to go cash flow positive, eh? ;) Nice...always good to see the good ones make it up through this rat infested hellhole called the music business. And of course, I use the term "rat infested hellhole" in its most positive of meanings.

:hiding:

btw, i second the sentiments about you being an inspiring player. i'm twice your age and been playing pro longer than you've been born, but you inspire the heck out of me, too. you just have this way of playing i really connect with.

Julie: Is there a release date set? I didn't see it on your website if there is one.

It will start shipping in May - I'm getting it mastered on Wednesday, then taking it to the manufacturer Saturday...

Thanks, Jimmy! Where is that darn blushing smiley?

According to a tweet I saw on her website, her solo CDs are now in from the manufacturer, so keep an eye on your mailboxes. (You did pre-order a copy, didn't you?!)

The CD was waiting for me when I got home and I immediately popped it in! Very interesting stuff. Review to come later.

VERY nice production on the case! I just wish the art and pics were bigger. Makes me miss LPs sometimes...

And I'm trying to figure out the text with the signature "TO MICHAEL - PLEASE DON'T KILL..." I put on Paypal to write whatever you felt moved to write, but ... how well do you know me?

A "Halloween" reference? I dunno, I was feeling silly... I'm sure your last name isn't even pronounced that way...

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that we just posted the videos of Friday's PAPER CAT show in Philly [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
