Just a curious question. What picks do you use?

Take your pick

…No contest :)

I've been using Herco 50's for years. I started early on using picks exclusively, but switched over to mainly finger-picking a few years later. I use a pick on just a few songs a night, so I keep them around on top of my amp.

They're polycarbonate---but not the same formula used in their Primetone picks or in gel picks. I've used these on mandolin--personally I think they feel a bit "soft" for my taste, but that's just me.

Yes, they don't have the click or snap I'd like for a bright guitar, but they wear well and do just what I'm looking for on the bass.

On mandolin, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, electric bass:

It took a little time, but I finally got one pick to work on all my stringed instruments (except banjo and uke). I got tired of chasing after three different kinds of picks. Went with thick and hard (these are a little harder than Tortex, a more crisp snap and attack. Me like.)

The sharp tip lasts a good long time, and when it starts to round off I can take a sand block to it and make a new tip.
