The HPF-Pre is great for db pickups with the high pass filter (duh) and the 10 megohm input impedance.
But I guess if you've got the Fishman pre, then you've got all that already.
I've had good luck just being aware of where I stand relative to the speaker. If your speaker is firing right into the back of your bass, it is much more likely the pickup will feed back. Try moving off axis some, or even standing alongside your amp instead of in front of it.
Thanks. I do already cut the mids out, inverse the polarity, and stand at an angle to my amplifier, as well as tape up the F holes on my UB. I am just not as crazy about the fishman as everybody else. I'm most likely gonna get the preamp.
