I'll just say that I don't like gold hardware and I don't like matching headstocks, but hot dayum that's a beautiful bass!

It's funny how with things you think you don't like, one day you see an example thats a real A-ha moment. I like gold and I like matching but would not normally like white, but that's a real stunner. It has an air of Gretch White Falcon about it, which was my A-ha moment for white and gold.

The Stingray hh's and hs's with both pickups on have a tone so think, brawny, brutal, beautiful and round that a wrong note could probably shut down your guitarists heart so be careful with that thing. It's the tone that can't be emulated, and I always keep that sound in my head when I try out a new instrument. Good score!

FYI - That particular color combo is called India Ivory. Exclusive run for GC's family of stores.

EBMM does an awesome job and gets way down into the details doing gold pickup poles. Very well executed.

So, I had recently purchased a GK rig to gig with, but after using it at a show, I just wasn't impressed with it. So, earlier this week I returned it all to GC. Some of it was purchase in trades, so they had to give me gift cards. I figured that'd be fine as I was sort of in the market for a decent, reasonably priced back up bass.

That brings me to this evening...I decided to swing into GC and see what they had. Well, they had a bass. A beautiful EBMM StingRay 5 that was not reasonably priced, but that I just couldn't pass up! White with matching headstock, HH, maple neck, and gold hardware. Even my wife approved! I couldn't say no. Best part is, I was able to score 15% off!
