Just a quick trip to Guitar Center...NBD EBMM CONTENT!

So, I had recently purchased a GK rig to gig with, but after using it at a show, I just wasn't impressed with it. So, earlier this week I returned it all to GC. Some of it was purchase in trades, so they had to give me gift cards. I figured that'd be fine as I was sort of in the market for a decent, reasonably priced back up bass.

That brings me to this evening...I decided to swing into GC and see what they had. Well, they had a bass. A beautiful EBMM StingRay 5 that was not reasonably priced, but that I just couldn't pass up! White with matching headstock, HH, maple neck, and gold hardware. Even my wife approved! I couldn't say no. Best part is, I was able to score 15% off!

That is a real stunner. I've never gotten my hands on an HH EBMM, but I really like the H and HS ones I've played. My ATKs do the job...but damn that bass looks nice.

I played the one at Beaverton GC too and thought it was the nicest HH MM I've ever played and the lightest as well. Seems like every time I pick one up it weighs a ton. I really liked it a lot. I've never owned one but maybe someday. And yes this is really the Pimpdaddy! Enjoy!

GC ordered a lot of white and gold SR5 HH basses. They would look awfully good in church!

I'm a big fan of SR5s (I own 2, both H, 3 coil). What I don't like about the HH is that it only has the parallel sound on the bridge humbucker and no PU can be soloed as a single coil. I much prefer the combinations in the HS, which is what I'd get if I had to buy an SR5 today.
