Just bought the Ritter Platinum Roya Concept!!!

Actually, the fingerboard is extended all the way through, so it's like playing on a ramp. You can see a 3D-view of the bass here:

By the way - I had the diamond swapped with a Zirkonia stone... I didn't really feel like forking over $12.000 more just to get the real thing! :eek:

Like nearly all of Jens' basses, I find yours to be truly beautiful. Congratulations!


For what it's worth, I would not own a Ritter for the same reason I don't own other "special" basses: I don't feel I'm good enough. I'm a blue collar rock/blues player so that's why I hide behind Fenders and their clones. (Note that I don't think anyone else should follow my eccentricity.) Believe me, if I had better bass playin' skillz I would find a way to buy a Ritter!

Ha ha, well could you have possibly found another one than "the Flora Aurum"?? :D
That one is just crazy, there's almost not a spot on it without 24 carat solid gold, huge diamonds, platinum, and what have you... That one is, I believe definately, out of my reach. And who would actually play it...?

(well, I guess some would think the same about mine :ninja:)

About the cost of mine, I'd love to share, but out of respect for Jens' business, I won't. Hope you understand :)

Things I like: Full-length one-piece fingerboard/bridge, hidden tuners, Roya body and headstock, beautiful fingerboard wood (cocobolo?).

Thinks I don't care for: Platinum leaf; I'd rather see some beautiful wood grain. The diamond position marker is a little too foofy and ostentatious for me.

I would like to know the price too. I think that is an awesome bass. Not anything that I would buy, but if I had the cash, I might. People talk about Foderas being like farraris, but that is like one of those crazy concept cars that people who own an island own.


Can I be the first A-hole to say that my modded SX sounds just as good? I would be kidding, but I had to say it.

We want video clips when you get it.

Yep, exactly what I like as well...! The fingerboard is purple kingwood, very rare, actually I think Jens is the only one who has it now. I'm getting it on my other Roya as well ;)

I really like the platinum as well, I think it goes so well with the purple colour of the fretboard, and as my other bass will have a beautiful natural top, I think it'll balance well with this one. As I mentioned above, I had the diamond replaced with a Zirkonia stone, but it'll still look the same. It definately wasn't the main focal point for me, but I guess it's nice to have SOME kind of fret marker :p

You could rent it out to George Lucas when he does cantina scenes in Star Wars ;)

Man, that is possibly the most futuristic bass I have ever seen! I have no opinion of it whatsoever, other than to say "wow!"

I'm not a big fan of the finish and the diamond is a bit over the top. But that bass has beautiful lines. The full length fretboard looks great. I am glad Jen made it fretless, frets would really spoil the look.

And I love the headstock with the hidden tuners.

That bass just flows.

Now that you mention the purple :eek: color of the board, I see what you mean about it complementing the platinum, and vice versa. The concept look of the two colors is definitely growing on me.
