I wish stuff like that happened to come in the mail at my house...
Older MiM Std, with missing knobs, but otherwise all original it seems.
How does it feel? Do you like it?
As to looks, looks killer. Get some new strings, knobs and get it set up. If it sounds decent, great. If it needs new pickups, you have options.
If it does not feel right, however, you will never play it. That is all that matters.

Something is odd with it in that the G string lines up with the pole pieces on the bridge pick up, but not the neck pick up at all. I've never seen anything like that.
That's because in the old days of the MIM Jazzes both pickups were the same length, instead of the neck pickup being shorter than the bridge.
That's not what I'm seeing here. If that were the case, the bridge pickup would be off. It's the opposite on this bass, and I've seen plenty of the older MIM Jazz basses with the identical length pickups. None of them looked this off.
They're all off on the neck pickup except for the E string and the pickguard doesn't really match up with the metal piece where they butt up against each other, maybe a non-original pick guard?
Everyone knows those Mexican Standards bring a huge price if they remain all original for 25 years

It's not all original. The MIM Jazz used Strat knobs on splined pots in the 90s. I prefer solid shafts with the 'proper' J knobs. I could be wrong, checking the dates on the pots will confirm or deny. It's really not a hugely collectable bass and any parts swaps won't negatively affect the value. If it plays and feels good, enjoy the bass!

If you like it:
Try raising the pickup's height. If the screw turns but the cover stays put, then the pickguard is binding against the pickup cover and likely pushing the pickup sideways as well.
If that's the case, try pulling the pickguard, realign the pup, check to see where the pickguard needs a little filing, and have at it. Or just replace the pickguard. (Mint looks very cool with blue.) I've seen inexpensive badly cut 3rd-party pick guards push pickups sideways.

Looks like the tuning heads are Schallers. If it feels good, sounds good, AND you got a good deal on it, then get some new strings and knobs and rock that bass!
It's almost like there are 2 bridge pickups. But not.
