That's a great looking bass. Always refreshing to see tuning pegs that aren't clover or Y-keys, the colour is perfect, and I have a real soft spot for a Jazz body with no bridge pickup. Something about it just works for me.

Hope it sounds and plays as good as it looks! Will be following this thread, interested in updates.

Curious how it sounds. Is the Gold Foil going to be something unique tonally, or just a J neck pickup or single coil P pickup in a different shape? Personally, I love the look of the Hoppus Jazz bass, and this bass certainly captures some of that.

The online demos for these sound awesome. I hope they stay in the stable for a while. I wonder if they had a bunch of Mark Hoppus sig bodies laying around and decided to get creative with them? It’s definitely a cool look all around. Enjoy!

Might've had a bunch of uncut pickguards and decided to do something different. I'll certainly try one if I see one out in the wild. Can't say I'd pay that much for an MIM unless the quality is really there.

Wow! Not sure how this one slipped under my radar. Sounds great in the Empire Music demo, and I love the matching headstock, lollipops, and just the fact that it’s different. Wish there were more colors, but the Daphne Blue is nice.

Regarding the price, this is in line with street price for MIM special editions…USA equivalents are $1000 more.
